Everything, we see around us today, took birth when primitive man started thinking. He thought a lot about his existence, life and future. He kept on moving forward in quest of new horizons. But not all men were able to reach there. There were few, who always anticipated or emphasized only bad or undesirable outcomes. They were left behind and apparently lost in the gloominess of history. As far as skill and capability is concerned there was no difference between them, the only thing that made difference was “thought-process”. The men who exulted in the end were Optimists, while lost one’s were Pessimists.
So what would have happened to pessimists if they stopped thinking? I guess, in that case also they were destined to be lost because without any thought process they would have stayed where they were.
It means, in any way man has to think. But why does man think negatively? Why he tries to find unhappiness in everything? Why he invites undesirable depression when he knows its consequences over himself? From where does this unaffordable love for darkness come?
Again, it can be seen that all above questions are result of thinking. So, does thinking too much affect a man? I guess not because thinking only brings you intellectual wisdom. What deteriorates it is fear and insecurity. Both of them, together, create an irresistible pain. A pain, man starts to love. A pain with whom, man likes to live like losers. He is aware about his defeat to himself but the joy of pain is so immense that he does not want to come out of it. He gets trapped in the vicious cycle of pain, making recovery route more difficult and man is lost in the gloominess again.
Man is bound to think. So what’s the way out?
Well i am also a victim of pessimism and trying to find solutions. One antidote that i believe can change attitude is “Self Belief”. For the rest, hunt is on :)
